So it's finally here, the inevitable teething. I'm so glad because every single mom who knows Ava has been saying she's been teething since she was eight weeks old... Thus far it's been all drool and no show, but finally a little tooth popped through yesterday. Yay! But then I was surprised to find another one popping through this morning...Yikes, one tooth hurts bad enough why does she have to get two! It certainly explains why last week was the hardest week I've had since Jas has been gone. I felt like I was going to go crazy!! She was just way clingy and I couldn't figure it out.
But truthfully she's been really good, sleeping through the night ok, which is really all I seem to care about these days, no fever and just a slightly runny nose:) But today when we went to the gym she had a meltdown in the nursery, and they actually had to come and get me...(the only other time they've had to do that was when she blew out her pants so bad that it got on the carpet and on the nursery workers clothes! Darn breastfed babies, always savin' it up for the most inopportune times:) Anyway, today was really out of character for Ava as she
loves going in the nursery, and has never cried. The poor baby was obviously feeling really bad:(
Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone has any advice on what I can do for her. I've used baby ora-jel a bit, and I tried Tylenol but I think it actually gets her a little buzzed!
So tips? Suggestions? Any tried and true remedies? I'm looking forward to the advice. Thanks all!
*Ah I can never post without putting up a picture...Here she is in her newest swimsuit from Grammy:) I think I have a baby swimsuit addiction
