Shout out to all you stay-at-home-mommies
I have to admit that since having Ava I find myself struggling with questions like, "Am I really doing anything with my life? Am I going to be successful? Shouldn't I be doing more? Is changing diapers, doing laundry and cooking meals all that my life will consist of over the next 20 years!!" Anyway, last week I listened to a radio broadcast my mom sent me, on stay-at-home-moms. Before I knew it tears were streaming down my face because what I was hearing was so validating. I didn't realise how tender this place in my heart had become over the last 4 months, but it needed tending to:) I hope you find it encouraging to know that you are more than a stay-at-home-mom, you are a nurturer of eternal souls!!

Bek, I can't wait to listen! That was something I was talking to another stay-at-home-mommy the other day about. They felt like they should be going or doing something, that they weren't impacting God's kingdom. But I reminded them (and myself!!) that we are creating warriors for His Kingdom, an army if you will, to shine His light unto others, and that is one of the highest, most honorable, and (most intimidating!) callings I could ever dream of! To think God chooses us to reflect His relationship with us through our marriages and parenting - humbling!! Thanks for speaking up too!!
Love you,
Missy
What joy to know that you are finding peace with your new identity and role in life as a wife and mom. You sure are good at it. It blesses me tremendously to observe you as you love and care so tenderly for my beautiful Ava Rene.
