But truthfully she's been really good, sleeping through the night ok, which is really all I seem to care about these days, no fever and just a slightly runny nose:) But today when we went to the gym she had a meltdown in the nursery, and they actually had to come and get me...(the only other time they've had to do that was when she blew out her pants so bad that it got on the carpet and on the nursery workers clothes! Darn breastfed babies, always savin' it up for the most inopportune times:) Anyway, today was really out of character for Ava as she loves going in the nursery, and has never cried. The poor baby was obviously feeling really bad:(
Anyway, I just wanted to see if anyone has any advice on what I can do for her. I've used baby ora-jel a bit, and I tried Tylenol but I think it actually gets her a little buzzed!
So tips? Suggestions? Any tried and true remedies? I'm looking forward to the advice. Thanks all!
*Ah I can never post without putting up a picture...Here she is in her newest swimsuit from Grammy:) I think I have a baby swimsuit addiction

Bek- since I'm not a seasoned mom, I don't really have any advice, but I did order some teething tabs through Missy. She said she used them for Fo, they are made by Hylands...so you could get them at a health foods store. I havent used them yet, Micah still just has the buds on his lower gums...but they have cammomile, along with a bunch of other stuff. It looks good, and worth a shot! Good luck.
ps-the swim suit is too cute!
Hmm...the ouchy teeth. :) Good luck good luck, and thanks for the address!!
Hey Bek!
As Dollie said, the Hyland's Teething Tablets worked great for Fo on the first round of eight teeth. Once we got to the molars/kanines we moved up to the 'hard' stuff - a.k.a. MOTRIN!! I found Motrin works better then Tylenol for that really tough pain. Not only for a fever (which he started getting more with the other teeth) but primarily for inflammation. On the SUPER hard times (the worst is right when they are about to break through) Amanda taught me the trick of overlapping with Tylenol; you're supposed to give Motrin every six hours, but it seems to wear off in four (especially when they are in so much pain), so after four hours, give a dose of Tylenol then the dose of Motrin at the six hour mark. Like I said, we save that for the intense times!
Fo always got two teeth at once, and the way I saw it was while he was in pain, might as well get two in! Goes faster in the long run because they are going to be fussy anyways! :)
Good luck! Teething is hard work and all I could think was how glad I was that we don't remember this process - OUCH!!
Love you!
Missy
